Holy Water-Gate: Abuse Cover-up in the Catholic Church
The film begins as a personal journey of filmmaker, Mary Healey, who was also a Catholic. A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.
Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
