Captivating movie !
This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.
It’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny
I got this short/trailer in my English version of Pratchett's Soul Music not a week ago, and, faithful to my old habit of checking through the extras before seeing the film, I found this and actually just could not help but look at this before the feature. This where meant to be an adaption of Pratchett's Discworld book Reaper Man, or Döden Ligger Lågt, as it's called in Swedish (it was actually the first Discworld book I ever read), but by some reason or another it never got past the pilot. As in Soul Music Christoffer Lee plays the not very happy Grim Reaper, who gets the boot from his job as soul-collector and takes job at a farm to make the most out of the rest of his time. Those shorts, as this, the Men In Black II's The Chubb Chubbs, and the Powerpuff Girl's episode of Dexter's Laboratory, to name but a few are something I really thinks put an extra shine to the DVD!Pax Vobiscum!
