Christine takes her best friend with another couple for a final vacation when she goes to close up and sell her family's hunting lodge in the remote woods of Northern Georgia...but it's also the scene of her worst childhood trauma. Fresh and Exciting
It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.
Oh my, we did not expect such a cool story line. There was a bit of cheese for the simple minded folks, but everything fit together so well that it keeps you thinking about it for days after seeing it. You may enjoy this more at home because of the thrilling actions. I always thought Michael Madsen was one of those actors you love to hate or hate to love but he is always brilliant in everything he does and this movie will not let you down.If you didn't like this, you may be too simple to understand the whole concept and story. Just a warning, if you did not scored below an 800 or if you feel like watching cars go around in a circle all day, is entertainment, you probably will not like it because only those who have deeper understanding of entertainment could surely appreciate the whole theme.
This film moved me. I never expected to have a ghost come out of a body in the middle of the film. That was a good idea. I had to see this movie twice to really understand the film. As i saw it twice, I was able to get more of the story that I missed watching it the first time. This film was exciting and fast paced. it entertained me from the beginning to the end. A great awesome rental to watch on a Saturday night while drinking beer with the boys. I loved it. The cinematography had great shots and movement. The film had great energy. The trailer really does justice to the film. I commend Ace Cruz for taking a risk and making this movie. I really loved the Billy Character in the movie. He reminded me of Billy Bob Thortons character in Sling blade. PaulyD is a great actor. We should see more of him.
The reason I love this movie: Ace Cruz & Michael Madsen are awesome! Indie films are so raw and untainted by the usual stuff you find in the big budget motion pictures in Hollywood these days. Since watching Outrage... Born in terror! I understood what the director was trying to accomplish and where he was taking the movie.. Quite genius if you ask me. Also, did you catch the ending?? See if you can truly get what he meant at the end and maybe... Just maybe your view point will be different about Outrage.. Born in terror.. I think Ace Cruz used incredible imagery and visualization to bring forth a terror yet utilized a love based ending. I think the show is a combination of Ghost with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore and your caught in the woods thriller like wrong turn or the hills have eyes type movie.. Again.. not to pump it up too much but you need to see if you understand the ending.. Check it out
I was at the screening in Atlanta, Ga., and the movie not only made me think, but the spirituality aspect of the movie, is what drew me in. The message was tremendous! I was on the edge of my seat.Yes, Billy (played by Pauly D) was quite funny in some parts, which I feel was a nice contrast to the very serious goings on, that were necessary to get the point across. In addition to his comedic talent, I feel Pauly D deserves accolades for his true and spot-on portrayal of Billy. Great job! Also, upon overhearing a few people discussing the cost of the film, I was privy to the figure being more like $2.5M. I don't know where the figure $400K came from.As for Ace, Great job acting and directing. Really enjoy your work both on and off the screen.PaulyD: yombtnwthimi
