I love this movie so much

Excellent, Without a doubt!!

Absolutely the worst movie.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

This total gem of a horror short may be a mere quarter of an hour in length but it's so big and packed with mad stuff that it has the feel of a damn safari, a real freaking trek, and a great one! It takes but a few minutes to get going(whatever doesn't?) and then it becomes a complete blast, with some of the most hilarious and colourful gore-gags and insane action that I've ever seen in a horror short, and most horror movies for that matter.. Okay, so the plot, or lack thereof, and concept and setup of it is so simple, but in this instance such macabre genius and hilarity itself. It's all about one Mr. "Olivares", a pretty much ordinary-looking mustachioed Joe who is a recently discharged psychiatric patient, who is advised by his nervous doctor to avoid any stress at all costs and to take a nice vacation somewhere where he can unwind, and wouldn't you just know it, the one idyllic beach that he chooses to relax at just happens to be invaded by scores of some kinda bloodthirsty green sea zombies which look like something out of the old Scooby-Doo cartoon, and they immediately get to tearing the helpless sunbathers to bits, and Mr. Olivares during the middle of all this, he is seemingly oblivious to the havoc unfolding around him, or perhaps because he's not quite all there in the head he doesn't care too much, as some of them were kind of assholes to him earlier - but what does cause him to snap and become a one-man zombie killing machine, is when his beloved Walkman cassette player breaks down, at which point he unleashes the beast and launches an all-out assault against the offending slimy sea-scourge and the short becomes a complete lunatic gore-fest! And he is seriously mad, no not just angry, as in "as a Hatter". He proves to be quite the artiste when it comes to the fine technique of bodily destruction, and a way more vicious monster than the actual monsters are! In fact, post-credits you can see that he's erected an impressive monument out of all the leftover monster parts! Heads are splattered, limbs are torn off and used as battering implements(a classic!), and perhaps best of all the bloody skeleton of a child is used in a nun-chuck-like fashion to combat the ghoulish hordes! It's amazingly gross, and to top it all off, it has an absurdly-cute ending where after everything that happens there's just one beautiful girl left alive and he steps up to her and she leans over to kiss him for saving her life I guess, but he only wants her to take some souvenir snap-shots as, bloodbath or not, he continues to enjoy his jolly-holiday! Last damn thing that I expected to happen.. I love how there's stuff going on constantly in the background of every scene. And it's really beautifully shot too, with the ever-present gorgeous backdrop of the sea contrasting crazily with all the carnage and adding to the bizarre appeal of it. Outrageously entertaining and infectiously exuberant, it all adds up to one perfect storm of ridiculousness, and is a tour-de-force of bad taste horror done good. It never takes itself seriously, and I can seriously appreciate that. Salut, what a romp!!!

what starts as a quiet day on the beach for olivares turns into a nightmare for all the other su worshippers.reminding me of an episode of Dr who for sickos this is one of the funniest gory shorts you will ever see.what makes this excellent is the contrast of the brightly lit med beach and daytime location to the extreme violence taking place.the unlikely creatures emerging from the sea make a welcome change from psycho torture porn killers,and the true hero is the nutter everyone is laughing at at the start of film.just because this is a comedy some of the effects are truly horrifying.overall anyone who loves all out splatter will love this gory masterpiece .

If you are looking for a fun little (in running time only) movie to watch, you don't have to look any further. While the title can be seen literally, you obviously have to have a heart for horror comedy. Though the comedy aspect of it is still pretty brutal. We're talking about things happening here, that quite a few might not be able to stomach at all.The effects are great and the actors are "convincing" for what they have to achieve. You might call this "overkill" sometimes (no pun intended), but then again, it still can pull it off and not be boring in any way. Watch it and enjoy

Shorts, albeit fifteen minutes in length as in this case, simply do not come better as this, if combined comedy and horror is your cup-of-tea. Mr. Olivares has been given Doctor's orders to take a well earned holiday, after what seems like a detox of high anxiety and stress, and to relax, meet new people, sunbath, take pictures and above all avoid all manner of stress.It is not only José Ma. Angorrilla, who plays the tense Mr. Olivares, and his Mexican "handle-bar" moustache, that takes hold of the limelight here but the way in which we see him taking his own style of relaxation; plopping into a wet, muddy pit and immersing himself in its qualities, totally, at the amusement of the other holidaymakers.The cause of Mr. Olivarez's condition is never bought to light, just his cure, but the completely bizarre and hilarious, and extremely shocking, way in how poor Mr. Olivares deals with this stream-pressure release will make Tom Savini look like a choir boy on a Sunday outing. It all comes to the boil as Mr. Olivares is quietly listening to his Walkman (portable audio cassette player) and the beach is invaded from what can only be described as creatures-from-the-deep, human in form but demonic in both appearance and nature, they then proceed to mutilate, brutalise and kill all those on the tiny enclosed, pebbled beach. That is until Mr. Olivares's portable audio cassette player packs-in and his stress levels bring themselves to the boil once more, resulting in pure mayhem and madness in a battle sequence that will have you squirming with hilarious reaction. It is a battle that has the best special effects and make-up that will stand proudly next to any recent, or past, epic zombie movie. While only a smattering of dialogue at the very beginning, "Brutal Relax" shows itself in the guise of the Silent comedies, the language of its highly explicit visuals and stupendously funny antics are all that are needed to tell this story of violent conflict and of how Mr. Olivares copes with his stress levels. Showing at the Leeds International Film Festival (November 2011) it had a healthy response and is really best seen on the Big Screen with many like mined people to appreciate the full force of the grotesque and the dark humour. It'll make you laugh, it'll make you squirm and after this, you're going to need a good, long holiday to get over it.
