It’s that time of year again… time for the Hatchetfield Honey Festival! And, of course, the whole town is wondering, “Who will be crowned this year’s Honey Queen?” When upper-crust socialite Linda Monroe sets her sights on the crown, she makes an enemy of cutthroat barista Zoey Chambers. Soon, what’s meant to be a pleasant pageant becomes a bloody nightmare as the two bitter rivals lie, cheat, steal, and kill their way to the top. SERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?
This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film
