A Masterpiece!

Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

i think that there's a lot of reviews over here that says good things about this movie, but i also think that there's one important thing: it's like Robert Rodriguez made a female version of Machete. and it's fu..ng good!! it's a gore movie with surprises, lots of action. Don't let you fool yourself about the people who say that it's like Leon, it's very far from this. but remember, it's very fun.

I was a fan of Zoe she is beautiful and great for an actress. She was great in Star Track and about arravege in Guess who. When I saw this movie when I was on a holiday in Bali Aka south east Asia it appeared on TV. Since I had nothing else better to do I diced to watch at I thought It was going to be boring but I kind of liked it. I don't get it why this movie is so much hate I think its a great movie and one of the better movies I seen so Think you give this movie another chance because it will surprise you in many different ways. Overall another great film you should go and watch it won't let you down 8/10

Colombiana - A young girl witnesses her parents getting killed and is determined for revenge in the future. The plot is simple and very easy to follow. There is a lot of tense music throughout which creates a good atmosphere.The action is extremely fast paced and done in an over the top style, there's a lot of fighting/killing mainly at the finale, some of which is very brutal. The dogs in the van is a particularly memorable scene. The story develops at a nice pace and the film overall offers a bit more than I expected. I as the viewer really liked Cataleya as we saw her develop a lot throughout the film. Amandla Stenberg is fantastic as young Cataleya. The film really heats up when we are taken 15 years on and Zoe Saldana takes over. She is absolutely superb in the role of the stone cold assassin out for revenge. She's got the looks, moves & style. If you don't take the film too seriously then it will be enjoyable. Overall Colombiana kept me entertained from start to finish. A very good action flick. 8/10

(35%) Luc Besson really needs to call time on movies about a cool headed trained killers, as the concept is well and truly looking old. To be fair though this isn't a bad movie. Zoe Saldana works better than most as the lead, but she's really got no big names to help back her up, and as the main bad guy is as bland as they come there's no real draw which is something as mediocre as this really could have done with. There's a fair amount of reasonable action, and of course with this being a Besson movie there's the obligatory rocket launcher sequence, and it's all handed acceptably well. The parts between the action though just aren't strong enough as the writing is too crude and the plot is way too predicable.
