Watching it is like watching the spectacle of a class clown at their best: you laugh at their jokes, instigate their defiance, and "ooooh" when they get in trouble.

I don't understand why a movie like this still receives over 4 points. Neither do I understand why there is no single review that gave this movie only one point. This movie is so awful, that I can't find anything positive about it, but a few sexy scenes. The list of negative aspects is endless. I'll list only the worst.Lets start with the main actor. The main character was supposed to be cool, but ended up being a pathetic, unintentionally parody of Blade. For me Blade has been the worst main character in cinema history. This changed. Of course an unintentionally parody of Blade is worse. The special effects are on the same level as computer-effects from b- movies in the 90's. That is simply not acceptable from movies in the year 2005. Costumes looked like Halloween costumes. Any possible atmosphere is destroyed along with the costumes and the computer effects. The plot, the conversation and all characters lacked imagination and intelligence. If you are a fan of Blade and the TV-show Angel, this movie might be to your liking. To all others: Avoid this movie at all costs.

Jake Greyman(Sean Patrick Flanery)is a "half-breed", a hellspawn born from a mortal whose father was a demon, one of the devil's angels. Jake has a rather bleak view of mankind, yet, despite not be loved by God, works for the Cardinal of a Catholic Church, hunting down the possessed and killing the host bodies if priests are unable to exorcise the demons. Billy Drago(..relishing this role)is the Demon of Lust, Asmodeus, and he plans to spread his seed, creating an army of half-breeds to do his will, by devouring the souls of hookers and "women of the street" on the seedy side of downtown LA, and the Red Light District. Colleen Porch is Sister Sarah, a nun who developed very well in the convent, is assigned to partner with Jake as they pursue Asmodeus. Asmodeus has a luscious, seductive horned succubus in a leather suit with wings(..often as Jake and Sarah move from one location to the next we see a wing flap open at the top left hand corner of the screen)keeping an eye on Jake, curious of his activities. The succubus believes she can cast her spell over Jake and possess him to follow Asmodeus..will Jake allow darkness to envelope him? Can Jake actually succeed in upending the forces of darkness far more powerful than anything he's ever faced? What Jake doesn't know is that the Cardinal has been keeping a secret hidden from him concerning Sarah. Asmodeus desires Sarah, an innocent he yearns to possess and impregnate. William Bassett is Cardinal White, the one who gives out orders for Jake to accomplish, much to his chagrin. As Jake, Flannery remains solemn throughout, a man whose life doesn't amount to much, except what he's skilled at, removing anyone or thing that threatens his goals to take out demons possessing humans. Nancy Yooin is Nancy in the film, a prostitute who married a 90 year old millionaire and is the last on a list of girls to be possessed and planted with a demon seed after Asmodeus seduces her with overwhelming ecstasy. I'm always amused when they cast these women like Porch as nuns, so we can see her, out of habit, in a tight dress and shirt(..with a coat to dress her in a modest means of reducing her obvious sexy figure), so we can later see them absent clothing(..in a bra, but still, we can see that she's no ordinary nun). There's an emphasis on action in this one and a brooding Flannery toned an athletic body for this film, allowed to combat men and the possessed with considerable ease, using martial arts. In truth, it's easy to see in Flannery's fight with Drago, that it's staged with stuntmen through the use of quick edits and fast camera work. We can see that there was some "wire-fu" as well particularly when Flannery has to contend with demon possessed humans in flight. There was a lot more nudity than I has anticipated and some moderate gore. If one thing is missing, you don't get a whole lot of graphic violence, most of Jake's dirty work is committed off-screen, which is always a drag to me. I guess one could call Demon Hunter a poor man's Constantine, because this was shot on a much smaller scale considering it's overly ambitious plot.

Rough'n'tumble half-breed holy a**kicker demon hunter Jake Greyman (a superbly rugged portrayal by Sean Patrick Flanery of "The Boondock Saints") fights various forms of evil for the Catholic Church. He's assigned by Cardinal White (nicely played by William Bassett) to stop nefarious lustful hell spawn Asmodeus (a marvelously creepy and reptilian Billy Drago) and his loyal servant Succubus (gorgeous brunette knockout Tania Deighton, who sports cute little horns) from procreating with fallen Los Angeles prostitutes. Compassionate unorthodox nun Sarah Ryan (a likable performance by striking hottie Colleen Porch) helps Jake out on his desperate mission. The fate of mankind hangs in the balance. Director Scott Ziehl, working from a blithely schlocky script by Mitch Gould, loads this enjoyably silly supernatural claptrap with several rousing bash 'em up fight scenes, a decent smattering of gratuitous nudity, a dab of grisly gore, and even a smidgen of steamy soft-core sex. Moreover, Ziehl keeps the pace rattling along at a satisfying steady clip throughout this movie's short'n'sweet 78 minute running time. Flanery's scruffy, apathetic and cynical character makes for an engagingly hard-around-the-edges anti-hero. Robert C. New's slick, agile cinematography, the wailin', head-bangin' rock soundtrack, Jon Lee's roaring score, and some laughably lousy CGI effects further add to the overall entertainingly trashy fun.

Cardinal White calls Sister Sarah Ryan (Colleen Porch) to assist Jake in his hunting for Asmodeus and his spawned women. Meanwhile, Asmodeus sends the delicious and sexy Succubus (Tania Deighton) to seduce Jake.A battle between good and evil is in course."Demon Hunter" is an entertaining rip off of Constantine in the environment of Buffy and Angel. The demons have fangs like vampires, and the face of the surprising last monster is very similar to those in Buffy and Angel. The story seems to be a pilot of a television show and has some good moments. The unknown Tania Deighton is very seductive in the role of Succubus, the greatest attraction of this movie. I saw it with very low expectation, and I surprisingly liked "Demon Hunter". My vote is six.Title (Brazil): Not Available.
