Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
So much average
Nice effects though.
The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.
This is one of my favorite movies. It is a cute 80's movie that includes some hilarious witchcraft - along with an important message. Louise is not very popular and only has one friend, Polly. On a stormy night, Louise gets a palm reading by Madame Serena. It turns out that Louise is a witch and she will receive her powers on her 16th birthday. Louise uses her powers to become change her look, popular, and win the heart of Brad, the school heartthrob. In the end, Louise decides that she does not want to "force" Brad to like her through magic, that being herself is good enough, and that being popular is not all its cracked up to be. This is a great theme and it works well in this cute movie.
Teen Witch is a lot of things, but very few refer to it as a truly good movie. In reality, it is a very bad movie. However, it is one of those truly bad movies that is so bad that it comes full circle and becomes good again. The plot is your basic teen fantasy/comedy. Louise (Lively) is an unpopular girl at her high school. She desperately pines for the most popular guy in school, while being snubbed by nearly everyone and harassed by her evil professor. Her home life is not much better, her parents are nice, but dim and she has an annoying younger brother. One day Louise discovers she is descended from a long line of witches and proceeds to use her newfound powers to change her circumstances. The predictable thing happens, Louise gets popular, ends up alienating her one true friend, gets the guy and in the end decides to just be herself. What sets this movie apart is that it is not a musical per se, but includes a large amount of musical numbers set to generally catchy songs. Often these numbers will come out of nowhere, have odd choreography and add little to the plot. The stand out number in this movie would be a song called "Top That", which involves Louise's nerdy best friend getting into a rap off with a boy she likes. It really has to be seen to be believed.
when i first saw this movie on Disney channel it was my favorite movie of all time then it stopped coming on, and i looked everywhere to find it but then one day it was on TV and i taped it so i watched it again after six years. so anyone out there u have to watch this movie It is so good! they have to make a teen witch 2 or a tribute to it again or i will be really mad even know this movie is not very popular and no one really knows about it, it is still one of my favorite movies. the funny thing is, is that they don't even sell this movie in the stores its like its not even real. every time i go to stores to buy it they so no we don't have it. my favorite people in the movie are Serena and Richie they are so funny. Richie is such a pig and i love when Serena makes her weird foods.P.S Louise is hot.
"Louise, i brought your morning pa-pa', i took the liberty of ironing your home-work'!" Ahh... the immortal words of Louise's crazy looking little brother, what an amazing leap for the world of cinema. I am in awe each time i watch this dazzling film. Be it the A-mazing rap sequence or just the HI-larious teacher in the car wash/voodoo doll sequence i cannot get enough of teen witch...but i must say the only flaw in the film is the incredible standard that all of my boyfriends have been held to since the scene in the abandoned house where Brad stands in his tank top daring Louise to "catch" him. well what can i say. this is a no-brainer, peace out dudes.
