Good movie but grossly overrated

Brilliant and touching

Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.

The film starts out pretty good, very interesting... was fine with the shadow creatures lurking about, kids lost in the woods in a treehouse that the shadow creatures dared not to enter... I started thinking this might be a fairly decent horror-thriller! NOT!!! That ending with Mr. and Miss Rambo was just dumb.Honestly, just over half way through the film it seems the filmmakers lost their focus and didn't know which way to go with it and by the end, well they didn't know how to end it and made up something on the spot.That girl starts out all scared and timid, next thing I know she's pretending to be Miss Tough Gal, then back to timid - they didn't know how to develop her character at all!! UGH!! She became irritating and all that "baby bear" crap made me want to puke - over a guy she barely knew... just stupid.They should have stuck with the original way the film was going with the shadow creature OR left them out just had the 3 crazy kidnapping murdering guys show up instead. One has to make up their mind and be consistent to create a good film... OH and leave out the 1980s action crap - that ending sucked!3/10

Not as bad as I expected it to be based on the comments people have been leaving. Main boy was more annoying to me than the main girl, but I did end up liking both of their characters, or at least the progression of their characters. Overall, I found that the movie had both good and bad. Pros: excellent soundtrack, some chilling moments (and those were really great), unique ending. Cons: not really scary except for those few chilling moments, ridiculous antagonists (although I don't actually care about that much in regard to this film specifically, because I see the villains more as a device to show how the main boy changes as a character, not as actual frightening entities), several inaccuracies/plot holes. So it's really up to you to weigh this out and decide if it's worth it or not. I believe it's entertaining for one watch, but beyond that, I'm not so sure.

When I first heard about 'Treehouse,' I have to say, it was added to my watch list rather quickly - but what the hell happened? So, yeah, who wouldn't want to watch a film about a few kids trapped in a tree house, being terrorized by mysterious creatures. I did very little research, so I was under the impression, this was the type of film I was getting myself hyped up about. All was going well, until...We'll get into that in a few seconds - but right now let's cover the rest. The acting here is pretty bad, and the characters are even worse. It's the type of film where the acting actually gets worse the longer the film goes on, and by the time it ended - it reached hysterical. So, back to those mysterious creatures stalking the kids in the tree house...Random Ramblings of a Madman: I've now come to the conclusion that every horror director, writer, whatever, has 'Deliverance' posters and wallpaper backgrounds on their PCs. Why? Because like 90% of every other bad horror film, once the kids leave the Treehouse, much to my surprise, those mysterious creatures turn into none other than a group of serial killing hillbillies. At first I was shocked, then laughter came into play, then full on disgust. Seriously, guys, let's get over our fascination with people from West Virginia. They're really not that intimidating.

To all these stupid actors and stupid directors, stop doing stupid movies please. Why? Because I don't believe any one will like to watch it. Unless if they are super stupid weird people with weird stupid psychology. A waste of your precious time to watch such a stupid movie. It's a shame that this called movie. I might say it's not a movie it's a begging act. As you will feel it like: please give us some jobs we don't have money Guys why don't you try to be PERFCT? What's wrong with that? If you have no budget for a movie then please don't even try to make one stupid wasted movie. In my opinion you cannot afford every piece of criticism around you. I have no idea why you guys allow yourselves to act such stupid acting, very stupid and out of date , give me a break you shameful fools
