Valhalla Rising
Scandinavia, 1,000 AD. For years, One Eye, a mute warrior of supernatural strength, has been held prisoner by the Norse chieftain Barde. Aided by Are, a boy slave, One Eye slays his captor and together he and Are escape, beginning a journey into the heart of darkness. On their flight, One Eye and Are board a Viking vessel, but the ship is soon engulfed by an endless fog that clears only as the crew sights an unknown land. As the new world reveals its secrets and the Vikings confront their terrible and bloody fate, One Eye discovers his true self.

Very best movie i ever watch
Best movie ever!
There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
Unshakable, witty and deeply felt, the film will be paying emotional dividends for a long, long time.
I spent much of the 90 minutes wondering how long Mads was in makeup every day to get that eye just right. I slept through 20-30 minutes of mist, soI ran it back just to see if I missed anything. Negative. Notta. Nil.Mads does a great job of not speaking & semi-smirking a lot. He has a great face and cutting edge hairdo.I've seen worse. I really have! I think ...The most entertaining moments of this "experience" were the reviews. Peace out.
One of the most depressive movies I have ever seen. What a waste of time!Lack of dialogues, mostly hate and blood, no really story. What can you get to your life from a movie which is mainly suffering and sadness?Nothing really to learn here, folks.
Not even the landscape and cinematography could save this one. It was a slow plod through an unlikely story line. The writing team should (figuratively) be taken out and shot.For heaven's sake, a full seven minutes passed before the first lines were uttered. I knew I was in trouble right there.I had to fast forward throughout just get past the boring parts. And those are too many to count. Add that to the lack of historical accuracy. The Norse were skilled seamen and navigators. Suggesting that a crew of them could get lost while sailing south and somehow end up sailing west is historical nonsense.I simply could not find one redeeming quality in Valhalla Rising. Even the title is misleading.Don't waste the time, money or bandwidth on it.
I was looking forward to seeing this for a long time, and I held off for a night when my wife was away to watch it... it starts so well, but then it just slows down, and the story goes down hill, which is unfortunate.Mikkelsen is my favorite actor, hands down, and he's very good in it, playing the character well, but the movie is just a let down.Seems a little more of an art project than a movie... what's with the colors and that surprise scene?! I won't explain it but if you watched the movie you'll know what I mean.Tenth line of text.
