Load of rubbish!!
At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties. It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.
There is what can one say about this serial try of the Bulgarian cinema. At least here the claim was not so high compared to the other Bulgarian movies. Why is this so?For the first time the desire the real life to be shown as it is, is successfully achieved. These young boys, or maybe already men, which we could see before in the streets of our capital, make a movie about Bulgarian man and the bachelors in specific. You understood when one has to stop being a bachelor - when he is the last one single on the meeting. So, it is honor to them shooting a movie about Bulgarian men telling their own life and their destiny. When they showed and documentary cadres from the wedding of the protagonist and from the birth of the child of another participant of the group, I was pretty delighted. Until I talk to one of them I will not be sure that these cadres are original but I feel they are.Especially with this budged seen through, this movie manage to show what can be done with a very little. Yes there were some flaws but this is not the important.http://vihrenmitevmovies.blogspot.com/
When you have talented people both on set and behind set, you get a brilliant piece of work, worth watching and perhaps even learning from it. I would recommend it to everyone. The Director of the film is an old friend of mine and I saw the trailer of the very first version few years ago. I was instantly taken by it and even recommended it to friends of mine, who waited and hoped the film makes it to the UK. Light but in the same time full of wisdom and seriousness it relates to everyone who has ever been single (and that's probably everyone) I was pleased to hear that the film got recognition at Sofia Film Fest and other European Film Festivals. All the cast and the people behind the story and the film making have made this film shine and gather the so deserved popularity.
